The creator: Kelvin Chua

 

Kelvin Chua, founder of Vinism Sugar Art in Malaysia, is a renowned international sugar artist celebrated for his exceptional skills in royal icing and cake painting. As a mentor to many teachers in the royal icing art industry, Kelvin has significantly shaped the field with his expertise.

In 2012, Kelvin was honored to be an International Guest at Cake International, the world's largest cake show, held in London, UK. His remarkable talent has earned him multiple awards, including:

  • Cake International UK, 2008

  • Cake International UK, 2009

  • Salon Culinaire Hospitality UK, 2009

  • Salon Culinaire Hotelympia UK, 2010

 

In 2015, Kelvin was nominated as a finalist for the Royal Icing Award at the Cake Masters Awards UK 2015, and in 2018, he won this prestigious award. That same year, one of his talented students, Xian Wei Yeo, received the Best In Show Award—the highest accolade at Cake International Birmingham, UK.

Since 2010, Kelvin has been teaching sugar art workshops globally, having shared his knowledge in 39 countries across five continents, including Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, Philippines, USA, Russia, Estonia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, France, Denmark, India, China, Poland, Czech Republic, Belgium, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Sweden, Luxembourg, Peru, Oman, Ghana, Morocco, Mexico and South Africa.

Through his workshops, Kelvin continues to inspire and elevate sugar art enthusiasts around the world.
